Montreal, Canada & Los Angeles, CA – February 8, 2006:

Airborne Entertainment, a subsidiary of CYBIRD Co., Ltd., announced today an exclusive deal with Harmony Gold USA, Inc. to bring the legendary anime series Robotech to mobile phones. As one of the first anime series to bridge the continental gap and truly take hold in North America, the Robotech suite of wireless content will include wallpapers, ringtones and ringback tones, with a mobile game just a few steps behind. The content will be made available across major carriers this spring.

“As the embrace between the wireless community and the general entertainment world becomes tighter, we strongly believe that successful narrative franchises like Robotech will continue to cross over to mobile genres,” said Andy Nulman, President of Airborne Entertainment. “Our deal with Harmony Gold is a great example of this trend and we are extremely excited to be the ones to take the Robotech franchise mobile.”

“Airborne has been extremely successful in mobilizing many highly recognized brands and we are thrilled to be able to offer ringtones. wallpapers and games to our loyal Robotech and anime fans,” commented Christy Pawlak, Director of Business Development for Harmony Gold, who helped negotiate the deal.

For over 20 years, Robotech has helped to lay the groundwork for anime’s acceptance outside its native Japan, earning a distinction as one of the greatest science fiction epics of all time. Based on the solid foundation of compelling narrative and characters – along with incredible action sequences – Robotech has spearheaded the genre’s foray into theatrical imports, American remakes, specialized anime television networks and a full spectrum of influences on domestic pop culture. “We can’t wait to see the impact it has on wireless,” Nulman concluded.
