Shrek 2, The Simpsons, Spongebob??

Well the weirdos are out, it must be that time of the month again. First we have James Dobson of Focus on the Family stating that Spongebob Squarepants is gay and is promoting the homosexual agenda. Then we have another group calling itself Traditional Values Coalition shouting that “Shrek 2” teaches children that crossdressing is normal, and howls about the transgendered bartender, who is voiced by Larry King no less, who lusts after Prince Charming is teaching tolerance. And then we have people complaining about last weekend’s episode of The Simpsons that dealt with Gay Marriage and even found out which of Marge’s sisters is a lesbian.

So Mr. Dobson thinks “Spongebob Squarepants” and the foundation known as “We Are Family” that teaches tolerance to schools are promoting the homosexual agenda all because “We Are Family” has a video that it gives out to schools teaching about tolerance and how teachers can deal with questions like, why does so and so have two mommies or two daddies? I’d rather have a teacher have the tools to answer this question than have that deer caught in the headlights look and say something off base.

Mr. Dobson, give me a break.

Next up is the movie, “Shrek 2” as a target by Traditional Values Coalition because Shrek 2 has a puppet that wears women’s underwear and a transgendered bartender voiced by Larry King. To quote the article that I link, here is this snippet:

Parents who are thinking about taking their children to see Shrek 2 may wish to consider the following.”

The article then proceeds to describe one of the characters, an “evil” bartender (voiced by Larry King) who is a male-to-female transgender in transition and who expresses a sexual desire for Prince Charming.

In another identified scene, Shrek and Donkey need rescuing from a dungeon by Pinocchio and his nose, which is made to extend as an escape bridge by getting the wooden boy to lie about not wearing women’s underwear.

The TVC report, A Gender Identity Disorder Goes Mainstream’, raps DreamWorks for helping to promote crossdressing and transgenderism.

Not only is this ridiculous but ignorant. Ummm, yep I’d be safe to think so. Most children won’t understand the sexual humor but most of adults will. Why? Is it because we’re adults? I think so.

So did anyone watch “The Simpsons” this past sunday?
I missed it but thank god for TIVO and friends that have DVD burners.

Well it seems now “The Simpsons” is in the crosshairs now because of the gay marriage episode. Personally I thought it was creative twist and very funny. But some people obviously have no lives at all. I’ll let the following quote speak for itself.

“I think television is becoming obsessed with homosexuality,” says Robert Knight of Concerned Women for America. “In fact, I wouldn’t put it past people to dig up reruns of ‘Happy Days’ and have the Fonz come out as gay.”

The Fonz as gay? Give me a break! These people would probably fume over Bugs Bunny and his crossdressing adventures with Elmer Fudd. When Fudd would get angry, he was angry that the woman was really Bugs Bunny and he had been fooled again by that “whasically wabbit”.

I mean doesn’t Jesus teach us that we should love thy neighbor and forgive them for their sins, most importantly, not judge them for who they are?

As a good friend of mine said this recently and I will quote it here:

We have the left-wing nutjobs claiming 24 is sterotyping Muslims and we have the right-wing nutjobs telling Spongebob is convince my child to be gay.

Get off the fucking wings and ride inside the fuselage like most of us. Or jump off for all I care.
