Digital Domain – What Carriers Aren’t Eager to Tell You About Texting – NYTimes.com.

If you are like me or any person between the ages of 12 and 35 nad have a cell phone, you know what texting is.  Most of us use it for short messages between friends and family when calling them is not an option.

Finally someone blows the lid off of the text cost myth that the cell phone companies love to exploit and explains why they charge us so much for texting.  For those that don’t know, texting takes up so little bandwidth for phones that even if you were to send a text a minute for an entire, you would not reach the file size of a song purchased from iTunes.
